My name is Lauren Dahl, and I’m an arts education enthusiast and lover of interior design. I love making things, eating fancy food (and not so fancy food), styling home decor, and spending time with my husband and our two year old son.
I hold a Fine Arts Degree with an art emphasis in painting and a focus in Arts Education from Murray State University. I have years of teaching experience starting in my teenage years. Most of my teenage summers throughout college summers were spent teaching children’s art classes at Metro Arts Center, and other community centers downtown. After teaching art and graphic design for three years at Meyzeek Middle School, I left for Child Rearing Leave to spend more time with my son.
Outside of teaching, I write and art direct party planning articles for Today’s Woman Magazine. I also run a tiny tiny interior design biz specializing in online interior design. Teaching students to incorporate art as a career is a high priority for me. It’s important that the students experience the textures, colors, and wonder of all the art assignments, but also can be equally balanced with the practicality of knowing about art.
