Pop Art

Pop Art is super graphic, which makes it a perfect art period to study in the graphic arts classroom.

 

[ 6th Grade ]

Assignment: Create a drawing inspired by Roy Lichenstein.

Things you must include:

(1. )Black outlines

(2.) Bold images inspired by the consumer goods obsession in america (food)

(3.) Flat surfaces

(4.) Primary colors

(5.) Typography- action words or word bubbles

 

 

[ 7th grade ]

Assignment: To create a toilet paper sculpture inspired by pop art. (Using Charmin Ultra Strong). ** Note that we looked at several pop artists to learn about subject matter, but Claes Oldenburg is the main artist we looked at.
